Since 1987 the “Festival Mundial de Danzas Folklóricas“ in Palma de Mallorca has been a showcase for traditional dance troupes from around the world to display their best choreographies and magnificent costumes.
 
From 14 – 18 April the time has come again – International folk dancing troupes will perform dances typical of their own culture and will provide a unique spectacle. Gentle movements from the East, powerful war dances from the Zulu, closely followed by contemporary dances from the western world.

The nation that ultimately receives the award for the best performance is decided by an international jury. One thing, however, is already certain:  the rhythms and distinct sounds of the very different cultures will enthral Palma de Majorca five days long.
