The Playa S'Amarador, which lies south of Cala D'Or, has recently been awarded the title “Best European Beach“. According to the results of the online portal, Onbeach.com, the beach was impressive in the categories of cleanliness, facilities and for its excellent bathing. About 3,000 beaches throughout Europe were inspected for this study.

Second place was also taken by a Balearic beach: Cala Salada on Ibiza.
