Mallorca is one of the favourite travel destinations for both professional and amateur cyclists with its large number of cycle routes covering every level of difficulty and winding through the heart of beautiful countryside.

According to the “Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca”, cycle tourism will continue to be expanded and promoted in the future by the Balearic government with new maps and routes. As an example, recently “ecological routes” have been signposted, which lead the visitor through villages and countryside in the island’s interior passing monuments, traditional buildings and other special features.
