BMW Group DesignworksUSA, a global design consultancy and subsidiary of the BMW Group, has been attracting attention for years with its trend-setting designs for a wide range of industries. In addition to work for the parent group, it has drawn particular notice in recent years for its innovative designs and design studies for the aerospace industry, for which the design consultancy with its transferable design knowledge across sectors has now become a fixed constant.

The creative design consultancy also attracted a lot of attention last year in the field of yachting as a result of its design for an innovative luxury sailing yacht. BAVARIA Yachtbau GmbH was among those taking notice of the BMW subsidiary and the Giebelstadt yacht builder appointed BMW Group DesignworksUSA as its design partner charged with the realignment of the yacht company’s product portfolio. The yacht that arose out of the cooperation between these two partners, the Deep Blue 46, was presented for the first time at the BOOT in Dusseldorf.
